There’s Still Time to Join NTBA’s 2025 SCOTUS Admissions Ceremony

There’s Still Time to Join NTBA’s 2025 SCOTUS Admissions Ceremony

The United States Supreme Court has already issued a major ruling allowing the Trump administration to eliminate transgender individuals from the military. Another major ruling is expected this spring, one that could change the lives of many transgender Americans.

One way to show the Court that we are neither afraid nor hiding is to be admitted to practice before the Supreme Court, as part of the fourth cohort of out trans attorneys to appear before the full bench of the Court and make our presence felt.

The National Trans Bar Association (NTBA) invites you to be a part of the 2025 U.S. Supreme Court Admission Ceremony, to be sworn in as a member of the Supreme Court Bar, on the morning of Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Washington, D.C. This landmark event amplifies trans voices in the highest echelons of the legal system, driving visibility and equity where it matters most.

Why Join?

  • Visibility as Resistance – In a time of escalating attacks on trans rights, your presence in this ceremony is a bold statement of resistance.
  • Collective Power – Each attorney admitted strengthens our community’s foothold in the legal system, paving the way for future generations.
  • A Lifelong Honor – Membership in the Supreme Court bar is a rare distinction, one that marks you as part of a group shaping the future of law and equality.

If you have been admitted to practice in your state for three years (or will be by Dec. 2, 2025) and if you are in good standing, you are eligible to be one of those attorneys. There is an application to be filled out and the one time fee charged by the Court is $200.00.

Contact Kristen Browde kpb@browdelaw.com for the application and details. There are only 12 slots each year, and the process takes some time, so please don’t delay.

Act now to secure your spot at the forefront of this transformative movement, where inclusion becomes action and progress takes center stage.

This isn’t just an admissions ceremony, it’s a movement. Together, we’re not just asking for a seat at the table. We’re claiming our rightful place in the highest court in the land.

Will you stand with us?

Stand Tall. Be Seen. Make History.
